HYDERABAD: In recent months, the Telugu film industry has embarked on a journey to reintroduce classic gems to new viewers through re-releases. The echoes of the past will resonate even further with the re-release of Nagarjuna's timeless classic "Shiva." Supriya, who heads Annapurna Studios, has confirmed the same.
Driven by popular demand, the remastered version of "Shiva" is undergoing final preparations and is slated to grace screens by the end of this year. Shiva is a game changer in the Telugu film industry that inspired a lot of actors and directors to embark on a journey in the film industry. The film marked the debut of Ram Gopal Varma.
At the same time, Annapurna Studios is all set to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of the legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR) in a grand way this September. The iconic production house, helmed by the ANR family, plans to organize a film festival to celebrate ANR's cinematic legacy.
On the other hand, another treat awaits Nagarjuna's fans as the blockbuster hit "Manmadhudu" is set to return to theaters. Celebrating Nagarjuna's birthday on August 29, this re-release adds a layer of festivity to the occasion.
