Bollywood Ramayana: Hans Zimmer's name in consideration
Fans can expect an official announcement regarding the film on April 17, the eve of Sri Rama Navami
MUMBAI: The upcoming film Ramayana, helmed by director Nitish Tiwari, generates immense audience excitement. With rumors swirling about the star-studded cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash playing the roles of Lord Rama, Sita, and Ravana, respectively, anticipation is high. However, the latest rumor takes the excitement to a whole new level with the addition of not one but two Oscar-winning composers to the project.
It was confirmed that India's musical maestro, A.R. Rahman, would compose the film's score. Now, reports suggest that Hollywood legend Hans Zimmer, renowned for his iconic soundtracks in films like "Interstellar," 'Dune: Part One', and "Inception," might also join Rahman in this collaboration.
While the story of Ramayana has been retold numerous times, Nitish Tiwari's vision for the film appears to be particularly grand. Planned as a three-part epic, the film will reportedly begin shooting in Mumbai next month. The first part is scheduled for release during Diwali in 2025.
With its stellar cast, the legendary musical duo, and its ambitious scale, this adaptation of Ramayana is poised to be a visual and auditory spectacle.
