HYDERABAD: The highly-anticipated mythological epic film, Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, has achieved a remarkable feat by entering the 200-crore club within two days of its release. Despite facing criticism and protests, the movie, featuring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan, has surpassed expectations at the box office.
On its opening day, Adipurush amassed an astounding 140 crore worldwide. Continuing its successful streak, the film reportedly earned an additional 65 crore on its second day, crossing the 200 crore mark. The Hindi version alone contributed 37 crores to this impressive total, while the Telugu states recorded a second-day gross of 26 crores.
Adipurush has encountered some backlash, particularly regarding its visual effects and dialogues. However, the film's box office performance remained unaffected by the mixed reviews and controversies.
Featuring Prabhas as Raghava, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan as Ravana, Adipurush boasts a star-studded cast. Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage also play significant roles in this grand cinematic spectacle.
Even on Sunday, the advance bookings of the film look encouraging in the Telugu states as well as North India. The film is sure to mint a maximum revenue at the box office.
