Box-Office: Bhagavanth Kesari & LEO Registers good numbers on Day 1

HYDERABAD: Nandamuri Balakrishna's "Bhagavanth Kesari" has taken a different route, moving away from the comedy genre to focus on emotional storytelling. The film, which pairs Balakrishna with Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead, was released on October 19 and is already gaining praise for its fresh approach.

The production company recently unveiled the film's impressive first-day collection figures, with "Bhagavanth Kesari" amassing a remarkable Rs. 32.33 crore worldwide on its opening day. To commemorate this success, a special poster was released, marking a strong start at the box office.

Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film introduces Sreeleela as the female lead. Notably, Arjun Rampal makes his Telugu cinema debut with this movie. Harish Peddi and Sahu Garapati produce the film under the Shine Scenes banner, with music composed by Thaman.

On the other hand, Vijay, the acclaimed star hero, appears in "Leo," which initially faced criticism upon the release of its poster. However, the movie defied expectations and received rave reviews on its opening day.

Paired with Trisha, the film hit theaters on October 19, sparking discussions with hashtags like "Leo Blockbuster" and "Leo Disaster" on Twitter. It appears that "Leo" is on track to achieve blockbuster status, having reportedly collected over Rs. 132.5 crore worldwide on its first day.

Directed by Lokesh Kanakaraj and produced by SS Lalith Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy under the Seven Screens banner, the film boasts a star-studded cast featuring Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mathew, and Miskin.
