Box Office: Kantara joins the 300-crore club

HYDERABAD: There is no stopping for Kantara at the box office. The phenomenal response from the audience and no strong competitor in contention are helping Kantara in having a dream run in theatres. Now, the worldwide collections of this action thriller crossed the 300-crore mark.

Kantara was first released in Kannada. Two weeks later, it was released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. A week later, it was released in Malayalam. It did exceptionally well in Kannada, Telugu and Hindi. Most of the collections came from these three languages.

According to the trade reports, Kantara collected around Rs. 305 crores as of now. In Telugu alone, the film minted more than Rs. 42 crores at the box office. As there are no other films that got a good response, Kantara is still becoming the primary choice for the audience to visit theatres.

It is expected to have a good run for the next few days as well. Kantara is written and directed by Rishab Shetty. He also played the lead hero in it. Sapthami Gowda, Kishore and Achyut Kumar played the other key roles in it. The movie was produced by Hombale Films.
