Box Office: Sharp decline in BRO collections; Fails to beat 'Baby'
Powerstar Pawan Kalyan's film "BRO" has encountered a major setback at the box office, performing poorly on its first Monday
HYDERABAD: Powerstar Pawan Kalyan's film "BRO" has encountered a major setback at the box office, performing poorly on its first Monday. Surprisingly, the film "Baby" outperformed "BRO" on the same day, collecting close to Rs 4 crore worldwide, while "BRO" managed to earn only around Rs 3.25 crore in shares.
Although "BRO" had a decent first weekend, collecting a share of 55.8 crores worldwide, it is now facing a steep decline in collections and is on the verge of becoming a failure.
With theatrical rights valued at 100 crores, the film has only managed to recover a little over half of the investment. The disappointing figures on the first Monday have led trade circles to expect very little from "BRO" in terms of box office performance.
In addition to Pawan Kalyan, "BRO" also stars Sai Dharam Tej, Ketika Sharma, and Priya Prakash Varrier. The screenplay and dialogues for the film were written by Trivikram, and the music was composed by Thaman. The film was produced by Peoples Media Factory.
On the other hand, Baby features Anand Deverakonda, Vaishnavi Chaitanya and Viraj Ashwin in the lead roles. Sai Rajesh is the film's director. SKN produced the film.
