Today, Tharun Bhascker revealed the first cast member of his film. He is none other than Brahmanandam
HYDERABAD: Talented filmmaker Tharun Bhascker shot to fame with his first two feature films Pelli Choopulu and Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi. After a long gap, he is coming up with his third feature, Keeda Cola. Touted to be a crime comedy, this movie is currently in the shooting stage.
Reportedly, there will be no lead actors or actresses in the movie. There will be eight pivotal characters who drive the story. Today, Tharun Bhascker revealed the first cast member of his film. He is none other than Brahmanandam.
Sharing Brahmanandam's first-look poster, Tharun wrote, "There are 8 main characters in this film, no heroes or heroines. When I was supposed to cast I had immense pressure. The pressure of working with a star was becoming a burden & I didn’t want to fall prey to that. This is a crime comedy and say it with me - who’s the star of comedy? The OG meme god? Re-Introducing Mr Brahmi! Like never before."
Tharun stated that Brahmanandam will play the role of a wheel-chair-ridden grandfather named Varadaraju. He added that the character will be super-relatable and sarcastic as well. Of late, Brahmanandam hasn't been acting regularly and even when he does, his characters are not working the way they used to in the past. After this announcement, fans are hoping that Keeda Cola will be a perfect comeback for this iconic comedian. The film is slated for release later this year.
