Brahmastra failed to utilize SRK and Nagarjuna
Star heroes Shah Rukh Khan and Nagarjuna Akkineni played important cameos.
HYDERABAD: The much-awaited Bollywood biggie Brahmastra has hit the screens a couple of days ago. The openings are phenomenal for the movie but it is getting a mixed response from the audience. The fate of the film will be decided through its performance on weekdays.
This high-budget fantasy drama features Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. Amitabh Bachchan played a key role in it. Star heroes Shah Rukh Khan and Nagarjuna Akkineni played important cameos.
Especially, SRK's character comes in the opening scene of the film and surprises the audience right away. When you open the film with a character, it should be portrayed very cleverly. But the makers of Brahmastra failed in it.
They gave meaty roles to SRK and Nagarjuna but failed to create an impact with their characters. They were just used as tools to move the story forward but not as weapons to make the story stronger. As a result, fans are having mixed feelings about these two characters in the film. If only director Ayan Mukherjee used these stars in a more significant way, the movie would have been a bigger success.
