Fans have found a new way of enjoying by re-releasing their favourite actor's old film in theatres once again. It all started with Superstar Mahesh Babu's Okkadu and Pokiri. The latter's special shows made new records among re-released films.
Later, Powerstar Pawan Kalyan fans broke Pokiri's records with Jalsa's special shows. They also held special shows for Pawan's other film, Thammudu. Now, it is time for the special shows of Nandamuri Balakrishna's 2002 film Chenna Kesava Reddy.
On the occasion of its 20th release anniversary, Chenna Kesava Reddy was released across the globe. There are no chances of this film beating Jalsa or Pokiri's records in Telugu states as it was released on limited screens. But Chenna Kesava Reddy broke the other two films' records in the USA.
It was released in over 38 locations and screened in more than 100 shows in the United States. Reportedly, it collected more than $45k through these special shows. With this, Balayya broke the special show records of Jalsa ($38k) and Pokiri (16k) by a huge margin. Let's see which other old film breaks this new record in the coming days.
