HYDERABAD: Megastar Chiranjeevi's speech at the 'Waltair Veerayya' pre-release event sparked criticism. Although the event took place a few days back and the film is going to hit the screens the day after tomorrow. Some of the netizens compare Chiru's speech with Balakrishna's speech and say that Balayya kept it short and promoted the film very well.
At the pre-release event, Chiranjeevi spoke for almost 40 minutes, where he spoke about a lot of things. 40 minutes was way too long, and the same has been criticized. But, his fans are expressing great confidence in the film's success and calling it a routine thing from the actor.
The pre-release event was supposed to be a mere promotion of the film with full fledge hype across all forms of media. It has become customary for the big stars to take around 15 minutes to speak about the project and address fans.
Although Balakrishna was known for long and directionless speeches, he kept it crisp for 'Veera Simha Reddy', while Chiranjeevi spoke for 40 minutes. Even Ravi Teja has interfered in between, saying, 'What else can we say more after everyone has spoken all out', but Chiru continued regardless.
Today, most of the audience expressed that they left the speech in the middle, while trolls emerged on social media regarding the same.
Directed by Bobby, the film is produced by 'Mythri Movie Makers' with an interesting tag 'Poonakaalu Loading' and shall be hitting the screens on Jan 13th, 2023.
