HYDERABAD: Chiyaan Vikram has once again impressed audiences with his versatile acting skills in Mani Ratnam's films 'Ponniyin Selvan 1' and 'Ponniyin Selvan 2'. In the latest buzz from Kollywood, it is reported that T.J. Gnanavel has approached Vikram for the role of the main antagonist in Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming film 'Thalaivar 170'.
Sources suggest that Lyca Productions has offered a whopping remuneration of 50 crores to Vikram for this role. It is worth noting that Lyca Productions was also associated with 'Ponniyin Selvan 1' and 'Ponniyin Selvan 2', establishing a solid relationship with Chiyaan. The makers felt that no other actor other than Vikram could do justice to the particular role in the film.
However, recently, the Enforcement Directorate conducted raids on eight offices of Lyca Productions in Chennai due to alleged involvement in money laundering. This development has raised concerns among fans.
Fans are eagerly waiting to see if the deal with Vikram goes through, as it would bring together two powerhouse superstars in one film.
On the other hand, it's been a while since Vikram scored a solo hit and if the film becomes a big hit, it will definitely be a big boost for the actor.
