Dull week at Box-Office; Advantage for 2 films

Sita Ramam, Bimbisara and Karthikeya 2 are big hits in Tollywood so far in August. However, with the new releases almost failing to catch the attention of movie-goers, the films that are already running successfully have an advantage to mint more revenue at the ticket windows for one more week.

Three movies were released this week. They are Wanted PanduGod, and Teesmaar Khan at the theatres. Anand Deverakonda's Highway was released on Aha video. All three new releases opened to a disaster response from the viewers.

Wanted Pandugod

The presence of noted actors Sunil, Anasuya, Vennela Kishore, Srinivas Reddy, Saptagiri, Sudheer, and others did not help the film. Directed by Sreedhar Seepana and presented by the legendary filmmaker K Raghavender Rao, the film hardly has any scene worth praising.

Tees Maar Khan

Aadi Saikumar who is coming up with film after film, irrespective of the hit and failure, scored another dud. Aadi relied on the cop drama and mass elements along with Payal Rajput's glam factor. But, the film is added to the list of flops in Aadi's career.

Highway

Anand Deverakonda's Highway was initially planned for a theatrical release but the makers commissioned it for a direct OTT release. Popular cinematographer KV Guhan is the film's director. The film is billed to be a thriller but it offers boredom to the viewers.

With nothing impressive to watch this week, everyone is showing interest to rewatch Sita Ramam and Karthikeya 2.
