Execution in South Indian films has been always flawless: Naseeruddin Shah
It is an undeniable fact that South Indian cinema expanded the market of the entire Indian film industry
HYDERABAD: It is an undeniable fact that South Indian cinema expanded the market of the entire Indian film industry. The pan-India culture boomed with South Indian films. Movies like Baahubali and RRR took Indian cinema to the international level. Many Bollywood directors and actors also admitted that South films are more creative and technically brilliant than Hindi films.
Veteran Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah also says the same. He said that even commercial movies in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada are very original. Speaking to a news portal, Naseeruddin Shah said even though South films are crass in taste, their execution has always been flawless.
"Even their song picturisation, even in those corny films of Jeetendra and Sridevi, insane as it may be with hundreds of matkas (pots) in a line, but at least it was an original idea," stated Shah.
He opined that South Indian film crews work harder and that is the reason why their films are doing better than many Hindi films these days.
On the career front, Shah is currently promoting his upcoming web series, Taj: Divided by Blood. It premieres on Zee5 this Friday.
