Megastar Chiranjeevi's upcoming release, Godfather, is censored, and the board awarded the film with a U/A certificate. Directed by Mohan Raja, the film is gearing up for a grand release on the 5th of this month. Ahead of the film's release, the film unit is also planning to kick-start the promotions.
Godfather is the official remake of the Malayalam hit film Lucifer, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film had Mohanlal in the titular role. The makers made a lot of changes to the film's Telugu version.
Chiranjeevi will be seen as a powerful politician in the film. The first look glimpse, the teaser, and other posters indicate that the film is a proper commercial drama laced with political elements. Recently, Chiranjeevi shared a voice note on Twitter which is said to be a dialogue from the film. Going by the same, we can expect that the film is fully loaded with political dialogues and punches.
Director Mohan Raja made his directorial debut with the comedy entertainer Hanuman Junction in 2001. After almost two decades, he is returning to Telugu Cinema again. The director made sure that Chiranjeevi's fans would have a big mass feast with the film.
Godfather also features Nayanthara, Sunil, Brahmaji, Sathyadev, and others in pivotal roles.
