GodFather grosses Rs 70 cr first two days

HYDERABAD : Although Megastar Chiranjeevi's Godfather did not release on a record number of screens worldwide, the film managed to hold well at the box office. Despite the actor's last film Acharya becoming a dud at the box office, Godfather managed to pull crowds to theatres. The film collected a gross of 38 Crore rupees on its release day. Now, the film lived up to the expectations to mint a big revenue on the second day of its release.
As per the reports, Godfather collected a gross of 31 Crore rupees on the second day of its release at the worldwide box office. The numbers indicate that the film's run is going strong and the revenue being generated is also encouraging. Put together, the film earned a gross of 69 Crore rupees worldwide.
The film is performing well in both the Telugu states as well as the overseas box office. Godfather is the official remake of the Malayalam hit film Lucifer. Nayanthara, SathyaDev, Brahmaji, Sunil, Shafi, Murali Sharma, and others are also a part of the film.
Salman Khan appeared in a special cameo in the movie. Thaman scored the music for the film. The film was released on October 5th, on the occasion of Dusshera.
