HYDERABAD: The recently released film 'Hanu-Man' encountered unexpected hurdles as it was not screened in certain theaters. Some theaters in Telangana, which had prior commitments to showcase 'Hanu-Man' violated the agreements. As a result, the producer of HanuMan approached Telugu Film Producers Council with a formal complaint.
TFPC has taken a stern stance against the theater owners for not adhering to the agreed-upon terms. It has appealed for an immediate screening of 'Hanu-Man.'
In an official letter, the Telugu Film Producers Council addressed the issue, highlighting that Mythri Movies Distributors LLP had agreed with several Telangana theaters for the' Hanu-Man screening, ' starting January 12, 2024. However, these theaters in the Nizam area failed to uphold their commitment, prompting complaints from producers and distributors.
The non-compliance with the theater agreement resulted in substantial financial losses for the distributors and producers. The Telugu Film Producers Council strongly condemned the theaters' actions and their unethical behavior.
The Council emphasized the industry's foundation built on trust, morality, commitment, and justice and noted that the theaters' actions were contrary to these principles. The Council of Film Producers called upon the concerned theaters to immediately commence the screening of 'Hanu-Man' and bear the losses incurred thus far.
