HYDERABAD: Prabhas... The name needs no introduction to Indian audiences. The first pan-India star of modern cinema. The Baahubali of the Indian film industry. Fondly called as 'Darling' by his fans, Prabhas celebrates his 43rd birthday today.
He entered the film industry as the nephew of Rebel Star Krishnam Raju. He made his debut with Eeshwar. It was the 2004 film Varsham that gave a significant breakthrough for Prabhas in his career. 2005 release Chatrapathi made him a star. That was his first project with SS Rajamouli. Later, he scored success with films like Billa, Darling, Mr Perfect and Mirchi.
2015 was the year that changed Prabhas's career. The release of Baahubali: The Beginning brought him nationwide recognition. In 2017, he came up with Baahubali: The Conclusion. With this film, he became a pan-India star who enjoys massive fandom nationwide.
After the Baahubali series, Prabhas came up with Saaho and Radhe Shyam. Though both films were flops, they didn't decrease his stardom. He will be next coming up with the live-action 3D film Adipurush, which is slated for a release on January 12, 2023. He also has Salaar, an untitled film with Maruthi and Project K in the pipeline.
