HYDERABAD: Uday Kiran was one of the promising actors in Telugu cinema during the early 2000s. He rose to immediate stardom by scoring consecutive hits in the initial stages of his career. He witnessed peak stardom and also peak downfall in his career. Eventually, he committed suicide in 2014 due to personal issues.
Meanwhile, director Teja opened up about Uday Kiran's issues in his recent interview. Uday Kiran and Teja worked together for the films Chitram, Nuvvu Nenu and Aunanna Kadanna. In his interview, Teja revealed that he knows the reason behind Uday Kiran's death.
He stated that Uday Kiran used to discuss issues that are bothering him. He said he knows what persuaded Uday Kiran to commit suicide but he said this is not the right time to reveal those issues. He further added that he will make a film about Uday Kiran's death before he dies.
When asked whether any big wigs of the industry tortured Uday Kiran, Teja replied, 'No Comments.' With these statements, Teja created ripples among Tollywood circles and audiences. On the career front, Teja is currently directing the film Ahimsa, which stars Abhiram Daggubati in the lead role.
