Is Thalapathy Vijay divorcing his wife Sangeetha? Here is the truth

HYDERABAD: Speculations are doing rounds in the Tamil film industry for the last few days regarding Thalapathy Vijay's divorce from his wife Sangeetha. Various reports stated that the couple is heading for a divorce after 23 years of married life.

The rumors began when Vijay's Wikipedia page stated that the actor is living separately from Sangeetha, and both of them are heading for divorce. The buzz intensified when Sangeetha was not seen at Varisu's audio launch event and the baby shower ceremony of director Atlee's wife Priya.

Finally, sources close to Vijay gave clarity on the issue. They stated that there is no truth in these speculations and Vijay is not heading for divorce. They added that Sangeetha is currently in the USA on a holiday trip along with her children. That is the reason why she couldn't attend the recent events.

However, Vijay didn't respond to these issues as of now. Currently, he is promoting his film Varisu, which is slated for release on January 11. Vijay and Sangeetha met each other in 1996 and got married in 1999. They have a son named Jason and a daughter named Divya.
