HYDERABAD: Superstar Rajinikanth has once again proved his unmatched prowess at the box office with his latest film 'Jailer'. At 72, Rajinikanth made a solid comeback with the action-packed thriller directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The film has captured the hearts of the audience and wreaked havoc in theaters, breaking records and setting new milestones.
According to trade reports, 'Jailer' has successfully crossed the 500 crore mark at the box office worldwide, solidifying Rajinikanth's position as the true king of the box office. This achievement is particularly significant as it marks Rajinikanth's second film to surpass the coveted 500 crore milestone, with his previous film '2.0' also achieving this incredible feat.
Not just that, Nelson has become the third director from Kollywood to achieve this feat. Directors Shankar (with 2. O) and Mani Ratnam (with PS1) achieved this earlier. Now, with Jailer, Nelson joined their club.
