HYDERABAD: The theatrical trailer for Karthi's 25th film, "Japan," was released last night, and it offers more insight into the movie's intriguing storyline. We have already seen the teaser, which introduced Karthi as a thief.
Now, in the trailer, the protagonist (played by Karthi) starts his life of crime at a young age, robbing his mother and eventually becoming a most wanted criminal.
However, he finds himself entangled in a major heist and a murder case, leaving a mystery as to whether he is the perpetrator or if someone else is responsible.
"Japan" appears to blend a serious premise with humor, with director Raju Murugan infusing the film with comedic moments. Karthi's performance as an entertaining character with strong comic timing adds a layer of humor to the movie.
Anu Emmanuel shines as the female lead. GV Prakash Kumar's excellent background music, Ravi Varman's impressive cinematography, and the grand production design by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures are additional assets for the film.
"Japan" is set for release during the Diwali festival through Annapurna Studios.
