HYDERABAD: The trailer for the highly-anticipated film "Jigarthanda Double X," starring SJ Suryah and Raghava Lawrence, has been released. The Tamil trailer was launched by Anirudh Ravichander, and the Telugu trailer was released by Thaman.
The plot is set in 1975, and Raghava Lawrence plays the role of the first dark-complexioned hero in Tamil cinema, named Pandyaa. In the film, SJ Suryah plays the character of a director. The story follows a group of gangsters who are trying to take down Raghava Lawrence's character.
The film features an ensemble cast that includes Nimisha Sajayan, Shine Tom Chacko, Sathyan, Aravind Akash, Ilavarasu, and Bava Chelladurai.
The music for the film is composed by Santhosh Narayanan, and Shafique Mohamed Ali does the editing.
Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the film will be released in theaters on November 10. "Jigarthanda Double X" is considered a spiritual successor to the 2014 film "Jigarthanda" and is not a direct sequel to the original action movie, which featured Bobby Simha, Siddharth, and Lakshmi Menon.
"Jigarthanda Double X" is produced by Stone Bench Films, Five Star Creations, and Invenio Origin. It is set to compete with Karthi's "Japan" and Vikram Prabhu's "Raid" at the box office.
