HYDERABAD: Kangana Ranaut made her debut in Kollywood with the film Thalaivi. The film has opened to a decent response from the audiences. Kangana's performance was praised by the audiences and critics. After a gap, she signed another film in Tamil. Titled Chandramukhi 2, the film is the official sequel of the super hit horror entertainer Chandramukhi.
Superstar Rajinikanth played the lead role in the first part and he is not going to be a part of the film now. Raghava Lawrence is on board to play the lead role in the second part. The team began shoot sometime back and Kangana has officially joined the shoot now.
There have been speculations about the actress, playing the leading lady in the film. After considering multiple actors from South, the makers finally approached Kangana who immediately agreed to be a part of the film.
The National Award-winning actress took to her Instagram story and shared the picture of clap board. She wrote, "Started filming for Chandramukhi 2 today."
P Vasu is the director of the film. The film unit is yet to confirm the other cast who will be a part of the film.
