Karthi moves away from 'Japan'; Here's how!

HYDERABAD: Karthi, who recently had the release of his 25th film "Japan" during the Diwali festival season. The film did not do well at the box office. Initially, the team expected a grand reception but in the end, it disappointed big time. However, Karthi seems to have moved on, from the result of "Japan," as he began work on his new film.
The actor is currently busy with his 26th film, tentatively titled "Karthi26." The film, produced by Studio Green, is being directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, known for films like "Soodhu Kavvum" (2013) and "Kaadhalum Kadandhu Pogum" (2016).
Krithi Shetty, who made her Tamil debut with the bilingual film "The Warrior" directed by Lingusamy in 2022, is playing the female lead in "Karthi26."
On the other hand, Karthi wants to do back to back films, to forget the dull result of his milestone film. Karthi's 27th film had its formal launch ceremony, and the shoot began in Kumbakonam. The film also features Aravind Swami in a significant role, and regular shooting commenced today.
Directed by Premkumar, known for the critically acclaimed film "96," the project is being produced under Suriya’s 2D Entertainment banner.
