Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam are teaming up after a hiatus of 36 years. Their last joint venture, the cult classic "Nayakan," was released in 1987, making this new project, tentatively titled "KH 234," a momentous occasion for fans and cinephiles alike. Recent updates on the film's casting reveal that popular stars Dulquer Salmaan, Trisha Krishnan, and Jayam Ravi are in discussions to join the ensemble cast.
While the makers have provided no official confirmation, industry insiders suggest that these actors are on the verge of signing the dotted line for their roles in "KH 234." If these reports hold true, it would mark the second collaboration between Jayam Ravi and Dulquer Salmaan with director Mani Ratnam, following their involvement in the blockbuster "Ponniyin Selvan" franchise and beloved film "OK Kanmani," respectively.
Furthermore, it's rumored that Trisha Krishnan, a renowned South Indian actress, is set to play the female lead in the film. Although no official announcement has been made, speculations have been circulating about her involvement in the project.
This would mark Trisha's third collaboration with Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam if confirmed. The music for "KH 234" will be composed by Academy Award-winning musician AR Rahman. Produced jointly by Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, G Mahendran, and Siva Ananth, the film carries the banners of Raaj Kamal Films International and Madras Talkies.
