HYDERABAD: The film "Khaidi," which marked the opening of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, gained recognition for its fast-paced screenplay and was led by actor Karthi.
While "Vikram" and "Leo" are other notable films in this universe, fans have eagerly been waiting for sequels to "Khaidi" and "Vikram," along with a special film titled "Rolex."
Karthi played the role of Dilli in "Khaidi," and the film was released in 2019. Over the years, there have been discussions about the possibility of a sequel to "Khaidi." While promoting his latest film, "Japan," Karthi provided some interesting insights into "Khaidi 2."
Karthi mentioned that "Khaidi 2" was originally planned to start in January 2024. However, Lokesh Kanagaraja, the film's director, has started working on a movie with Rajinikanth, which could delay "Khaidi 2."
