Liger Trailer: Slumdog's rise as an MMA champion

After a gap of more than two and a half years, Vijay Deverakonda is returning back to the silver screen with his new film Liger. Directed by Puri Jagannath, this action thriller features Ananya Panday as the female lead. It is slated for a worldwide release on August 25.

Meanwhile, the theatrical trailer of the movie was unveiled earlier today. Going by it, Liger looks like a commercial action drama which features Vijay in the role of a youngster from Mumbai's slum region. How he eventually becomes an MMA champion becomes the main crux of the film. His love track with Ananya Panday will be a major conflict point in the plot.

Vijay's character also stammers in the movie. He looks like a perfect fit for the role and seems to have given his best. His styling and physique look perfect. His chemistry with Ananya Panday also looks good on screen. The trailer also features other actors like Ramya Krishna, Rohit Roy and Mike Tyson.

Liger is being produced jointly by Puri Connects and Dharma Productions. It will have a pan-India release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam languages.
