MAA meets Producers Guild; What's up
There is a complaint in Tollywood that the filmmakers are giving importance to other language actors, ignoring the local talent
There is a complaint in Tollywood that the filmmakers are giving importance to other language actors, ignoring the local talent. Often, Movie Artistes Association (MAA) alleged that the filmmakers are ignoring the artists from their association. During the last MAA elections, many raised the point, including Manchu Vishnu, the current president of the Association.
To discuss the issue and find an amicable solution for the same, the representatives of MAA met the Active Telugu Producers Guild. Manchu Vishnu, the president of MAA, is also present at the meeting.
Manchu Vishnu, Siva Balaji, Raghu Babu, and Jeevitha Rajasekhar attended the meeting with the Guild. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, Dil Raju, Naveen from Mythri Movie Makers, Bapineedu, Sharrath Marar, and Vivek Kuchibhotla from Guild were present at the meeting.
MAA members demanded that the artists who are registered with the association should only be hired for the shootings. If the producers or directors hire actors from other languages, they must be enrolled with the MAA. The association put forward these two demands before the producers.
We hear that the meeting went on a positive note. More developments on the same are awaited.
