Malavika Mohanan tries to calm down Nayanthara fans
Young actress Malavika Mohanan again created controversy with her remarks against Lady Superstar Nayanthara
HYDERABAD: Young actress Malavika Mohanan again created controversy with her remarks against Lady Superstar Nayanthara. After facing the wrath of Nayan fans, Malavika had to clarify that her comments were not against Nayan and she really respects her.
It all started when Malavika made some remarks against Nayanthara in an interview. In that interaction, Malavika criticizes how Nayanthara appears on a deathbed in a movie. She asked how a heroine can wear makeup and appear fully groomed on a hospital bed.
Nayanthara took a dig at Malavika's comments in another interview. She said there is a lot of difference between commercial and realistic films. She stated that actors need to go far to be authentic in artistic films but that is not the case in commercial films. She said that in the case of that particular scene, the director wanted her to appear in that way and she did the same.
After Nayan's counter, Malavika once again tried to attack the former with her remarks. In a recent interview, she stated that there is no logic behind the term Lady Superstar. "I don't like the term. You can call everyone a Superstar. There is no need to add 'lady' in front of it. Look at the likes of Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone. They are called Superstars, not Lady Superstars."
These comments irked Nayan's fans. They trolled Malavika on social media. Eventually, she had to clarify by tweeting, "My comment was about a term that is used to describe female actors & not about any specific actor. I really respect & admire Nayanthara, and as a senior really look up to her incredible journey. Can people please calm down? Especially the tabloid journos. Only love to Miss N."
With this clarification, we hope the cold war ends between both actresses.
