On September 27, the Film Federation of India made the official announcement, designating "2018" as India's official entry for the Oscars in 2024.
The cast of "2018" includes Kunchacko Boban, Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Aparna Balamurali, Kalaiyarasan, Narain, Lal, Indrans, Aju Varghese, Tanvi Ram, Sshivada, and Gauthami Nair. The film is produced by Venu Kunnappilly, CK Padma Kumar, and Anto Joseph under the banner of Kavya Film Company and PK Prime Productions.
The film was released in Telugu and met with a positive response from the audience. Later, the film was made available on the Sony LIV OTT Platform.
