HYDERABAD: The Telugu Film Chamber elections were recently held, and Dil Raju emerged as the winner and took charge as the president. This has brought attention to the upcoming Movie Artist Association (MAA) elections. In the previous election held in October 2021, Manchu Vishnu won against Prakash Raj and became the President of MAA.

Usually, the MAA elections are held every two years, with the next one scheduled for September this year. However, it has been decided to postpone the elections to May next year due to the association's audit issues. The current president, Manchu Vishnu, has announced that he will not contest in the upcoming MAA election and has shared his decision with the members.

With Vishnu not seeking re-election, there will be an opportunity for a new president to lead the Movie Artist Association. In the meantime, Vishnu is focused on fulfilling his promises to the members during his tenure as president. One major promise put forward by Vishnu is to have a separate building for the association, which is yet to see the light.

As for his acting career, Vishnu's last movie, "Jinnah," released last year, did not fare well at the box office. There are no new projects announced yet, and there is still no clarity on the big-budget film that was previously mentioned by Mohan Babu, Vishnu's father.
