Mass Maharaja missed a Maha hat-trick with Ravanasura

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is in red-hot form for the last few months. He scored a blockbuster with Dhamaka in December last year. This movie went on to collect more than 100 crores at the box office. In January this year, he arrived with Waltair Veerayya. Ravi played a crucial role in Chiranjeevi-starrer action drama. Even this movie was a blockbuster. However, he failed to make use of this form in scoring a hat-trick with Ravanasura that released on Friday.

Directed by Sudheer Varma of Swami Rara fame, Ravanasura is an action thriller that promised to showcase Ravi Teja in a never-seen-before avatar. Going by the trailer and teaser, it looked like he is playing an anti-hero in the movie. The trailer even got a terrific response from the viewers.

However, the film failed to generate the desired response from the audiences at the box office. The film looked totally different and fans are disappointed with Ravi Teja. The film was reportedly based on the Bengali film Vinci Da and the essence of the original was not replicated.

Ravanasura features Sushanth in a key role. Faria Abdullah, Megha Akash, Anu Emmanuel, and Poojitha Ponnada played the female leads in it.

Now, Ravi Teja's next film is Tiger Nageswara Rao.
