HYDERABAD: The contribution of Indian cinema to the art of cinema is eminent. So are the artists who are among that eminent contributions. In life, one can meet the most intelligent one, the wealthiest one, but rarely one comes across the most courageous man.

Although he's a late-born child, especially for a man in his 50s, he's immediately baptized with morals, ethics, and art. Christened Qamal, he went on to live up to his name, which also means secondarily 'Wonder'.

This man's thrive for good art and education has imploded that he discontinued institutional education and came into society to be self-taught. His ingenious craftmanship has brought him international recognition, which is not the market but Respect!

Christopher Nolan, Quentin Tarantino, Pa. Ranjith, Vetrimaaran, Suriya, Mahesh Babu. . . The list goes on, but the name of the inspiration doesn't change.

The legendary actor celebrates his birthday today.

Post the success of his last film Vikram, Kamal Haasan's energy got doubled, and his versatile lineup of projects proved the same.

On one hand, he is doing Indian 2 (Bharateeyudu 2), and on the other hand, he signed a film with director Mani Ratnam, which marks their reunion after 35 years.

And then, Kamal is also in talks with young filmmakers.
