Meet Tollywood's new 'Butta Bomma'

Anika Surendran, who was shot to fame by acting along Tamizh star hero Ajith's 'Yenthavaadu Gaanie', has been chosen to play the lead role in the film 'Buttabomma' which is being produced jointly by Sithara Entertainments & Trivikram's Fortune Cinemas.

After the success of 'Varudu Kaavalenu', the team has decided to collaborate again for another unique project and the team has announced that the title of this new project is 'Buttabomma'.

Since the announcement of the title, everyone is curious about the casting of the titular role, as the title, need not say, has been borrowed from a chartbuster song from 'Ala Vaikuntapuram' by Trivikram.

Although it is open that this is a small project, there were speculations about Pooja being chosen to play as she did the steps for the song and it's her image that strikes almost every Telugu audience on hearing 'Buttabomma'. The team has made an official announcement about the Anika on the occasion of Vinayak Chavithi.

Directed by the duo Shouree Chandrasekhar and T Ramesh, the film marks Anika's debut as the lead.
