HYDERABAD: Post-COVID, the festival season has been the main source of financial recovery for the film industry. Needless to say, the film releases might have disappointed the audience, but the box office actually survived with whatever it could have made. Now that the situation is much better, the coming festival season seems to have a strong demand.
'Rebel Star' Prabhas's 'Adipurush' & 'Thalapathy' Vijay's 'Varasudu' are up already. The team informed that they are almost ready with their first copies and their releases are very much there. While 'Megastar' Chiranjeevi's #Mega154 is rumored to be titled 'Waltair Veerayya', there is no official update on social media.
This led to the news that the makers are not sure about the announced release date and this has been in circulation for over a week now.
Taking up their Twitter, the makers have posted an update saying that they are as much ready as the others and Megastar shall arrive at the theatres for Sankranthi. They posted a picture of Chiru's hand holding a sickle with the text "Kaluddam. . Sankranthi ki. January 2023". Directed by Bobby, the film is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers.
