Mohanlal returns with Lucifer's sequel 'Empuram'

One of the biggest blockbusters in Malayalam cinema, "Lucifer," is all set to return with a sequel. The Mohanlal-starrer has officially announced the launch of a prequel-cum-sequel. The makers released a launch video that included glimpses from the first part and revealed the date on which filming for the new installment will commence.

This sequel is titled "L2E-Empuraan." "Lucifer" marked the directorial debut of Prithviraj, who later collaborated with Mohanlal for "Bro Daddy." "Empuraan" signifies the entry of 'Lyca Productions' into Malayalam cinema.

The entire cast, including Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumar, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, and others, shared this exciting update on social media regarding the launch of "L2E Empuraan."

"Lucifer" concluded with a tantalizing hint about Mohanlal's character's gangster background, and it appears that the sequel will delve into the story leading up to the events of "Lucifer."

Notably, "Lucifer" was remade in Telugu with Chiranjeevi in the lead, titled "Godfather." It remains to be seen whether Chiranjeevi will also bring the second installment to Telugu audiences.
