HYDERABAD: Superstar Rajinikanth's recent release, 'Jailer,' has kicked off its box-office journey on a high note. The movie has garnered positive reviews and collected nearly Rs 90 crore on its first day, spanning all languages. This record stands as the second-highest opening day collection in Rajinikanth's career. With a long weekend ahead, the film is anticipated to have a spectacular run at the box office.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, 'Jailer' features Rajinikanth in the lead role. Interestingly, the director had initially planned to include a cameo role for Nandamuri Balakrishna in the Telugu version of the film.
Director Nelson shared, "Initially, Balakrishna sir was in my mind, but I was unable to design and fit the character into the script properly. That's why it did not materialize."
This revelation suggests a missed opportunity for fans to witness two massive superstars, Rajinikanth and Balakrishna, sharing the screen and delivering an explosive performance. Combining these two iconic actors could have been a visual treat for the audience.
