HYDERABAD: Natural Star Nani's Dasara exceeded all expectations and collected a huge amount of money on the first day of its release. It is now the highest opening day grosser of 2023, surpassing the likes of Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy.
According to the trade reports, Dasara collected a share of Rs. 14.1 crores from both Telugu states on the first day. In Nizam alone, the film earned a share of Rs. 6.75 crores, creating a new all-time record among tier-2 heroes. The film started its rampage in the USA as well. As per the sources, Dasara collected around $850k including premieres as of now. It is expected to cross the breakeven mark tomorrow.
Looking at the figures, it is assumed that the weekend collections will be high as well. On the whole, Dasara turned out to be a game-changer for Nani. It has not only become his all-time biggest opening-day grosser but may end him up in the tier-1 league as well.
Directed by Srikanth Odela, Dasara features Keerthy Suresh and Deekshith Shetty in the other main roles. Santosh Narayanan composed the music for it.
