HYDERABAD: Nani is currently working on an interesting film titled Dasara. The makers came up with the teaser of the same yesterday which is currently trending all over the internet. The teaser instantly generated a positive buzz from everyone.
The story takes place in a small village named Veerlapally in Godavarikhani, Telangana, where consuming alcohol is a normal part of daily life and is considered necessary for any celebration, along with non-vegetarian food.
Typically, a story has a hero and a villain, but in this case, the hero appears to be the villain due to his appearance and portrayal. Although small in comparison to the effigy of Ravanasura, the character, portrayed by Nani, is revealed to be rugged and powerful after we see the dark and wild world. Performances by Shine Tom Chacko and Sai Kumar are also noteworthy.
The series of scenes featuring Nani twirling his mustache, running through a field, grabbing a shovel, and finally cutting his finger to use the blood as a bindi demonstrate the character's rage.
Director Srikanth Odela's writing and direction are the film's strongest assets, creating an intense, raw, and brutal world. The production values, handled by SLV Cinemas, are also excellent.
The film, also starring Keerthy Suresh as the female lead, is set for a March 30th theatrical release.
