New Controversy Surfaces Over Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram
The upcoming movie "Guntur Kaaram," directed by Trivikram Srinivas and starring superstar Mahesh Babu, is embroiled in controversy once again.
HYDERABAD: The upcoming movie "Guntur Kaaram," directed by Trivikram Srinivas and starring superstar Mahesh Babu, is embroiled in controversy once again. After completing the censor process and receiving a U/A certificate, reports emerged that the film's story had been leaked, and it is allegedly based on Yaddanapudi Sulochanarani's novel "Keerthi Keeretaalu."
Rumors also suggest that Trivikram Srinivas may credit Yaddanapudi, the author of the novel, for the movie's inspiration. This controversy adds to the challenges faced by "Guntur Kaaram," which encountered delays in starting production, faced mid-shooting setbacks, and previously dealt with a song controversy.
Trivikram Srinivas has a history of adapting Yaddanapudi Sulochanarani's work into films. His earlier movie, "A.. Aa...," starring Nitin and Samantha, was also based on Yaddanapudi's novel "Meena." Trivikram initially did not credit the author but later rectified it after facing criticism.
If "Guntur Kaaram" indeed draws inspiration from Yaddanapudi's novel "Keerthi Keeretaalu," it could be a significant success for Mahesh Babu. The novel, which received acclaim and awards, is known for its emotional depth and explores sentiments, including motherhood.
It's worth noting that the author, Yaddanapudi Sulochanarani, passed away five years ago.
