HYDERABAD: Nikhil's upcoming film, "SPY," is being promoted as a film around the missing of Subhash Chandra Bose. It delves into various aspects beyond that premise. This film marks Nikhil's first portrayal of a RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) agent.
While numerous films have been made about Netaji (Subhash Chandra Bose), most are biographical or focus on specific events in his life. However, "SPY" stands out as it is not a biopic and offers a unique perspective.
Although the film carries an underlying message about Netaji, it presents something that hasn't been seen before. The filmmakers conducted extensive research to develop the script. Their objective was to shed light on various grey areas surrounding the subject matter. Reportedly, around 90 percent of the content in the film is based on real events.
"SPY" is produced by K Rajashekhar Reddy and is scheduled for release on the 29th of this month. The film promises to provide a fresh take on the story of Subhash Chandra Bose, combining elements of mystery, history, and the role of RAW in the narrative.
The actor is betting high on the success of the film. Let us hope he continues the momentum of success that he achieved with Karthikeya 2.
