No buzz around AVPL's Hindi remake Shehzada

HYDERABAD: Young hero Kartik Aaryan is in top form these days. He is one of the rising stars of Bollywood. After scoring a blockbuster with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 last year, he is now coming with his new outing Shehzada. It is an official remake of the 2020 Telugu film Ala...Vaikunthapurramuloo, which featured Allu Arjun as the lead hero.
Shehzada is slated for a worldwide release this Friday (Feb 17). But there is no buzz around it. Even though Kartik is a big star, he is unable to pull the crowd to the theatres for this movie. First of all, the trailer got a poor response from the audience.
People felt that Shehzada is a copy-paste version of the original version without any authenticity. Moreover, Allu Arjun looked stylish and pulled off Ala...Vaikunthapurramuloo with ease. Here, Kartik falls flat in comparison with our Icon Star. He tried to copy Allu Arjun in every scene but failed in doing so.
After the pan-India success of Pushpa, many people across the country watched Ala...Vaikunthapurramuloo on Netflix. So, there is no real excitement built around its remake.
The current bookings of Shehzada are very poor. On the contrary, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania is recording better advance bookings than Shehzada. So, the film heavily depends on the word of mouth. We have to see if the mouth talk helps Shehzada in collecting big money at the box office.
Shehzada features Kriti Sanon as the female lead. Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal and Sachin Khedekar played the other pivotal roles in the movie. Rohit Dhawan has directed the project.
