Paruchuri Palukulu On 'Guntur Kaaram' Is In Sync With Public Talk
The Mahesh Babu-Trivikram Srinivas duo's third collaboration, Guntur Karam, released during Sankranti, received a mixed response from the audience
The Mahesh Babu-Trivikram Srinivas duo's third collaboration, "Guntur Karam," released during Sankranti, received a mixed response from the audience upon its January 12 release. Criticism was directed towards the film's lack of Mahesh Babu's usual flair and Trivikram's inability to deliver a compelling story.
Renowned writer Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, with over 350 films to his credit, shared his perspective on the film. He found the storyline of the movie somewhat convoluted, leaving audiences puzzled upon first viewing. However, he noted that upon closer inspection, Trivikram's signature screenplay became apparent.
While Trivikram is known for his adeptness at choosing titles, Gopala Krishna felt that this particular title may have misled audiences expecting a family drama. He critiqued the lack of depth in the mother-son and grandfather-grandchild relationships portrayed in the film, noting a missed opportunity to explore emotional complexities.
Paruchuri suggested that developing the emotional dynamics within Ramyakrishna's family could have elevated the film's narrative and resonated more strongly with audiences.
Sreeleela and Meenakshi Choudhary play the female leads in the film. THaman S is the film's music director.
