Pawan Kalyan's fans trend #WeDontWantTheriRemake
They are now posting tweets with the hashtag, #WeDontWantTheriRemake
HYDERABAD: Pawan Kalyan and Harish Shankar duo delivered a big blockbuster Gabbar Singh, a remake of Bollywood hit film Dabbang. Later, the two decided to collaborate for another film but it never materialized. Now, there are reports that the two are collaborating for the remake of Tamil hit Theri and the fans are disappointed. They are now posting tweets with the hashtag, #WeDontWantTheriRemake.
Last year, the actor and director announced their reunion with the project, Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh, a straight Telugu film. But, it is not happening, say the reports. Instead, the duo decided to do this remake.
Initially, Sujeeth was asked to work on the remake film but the young director narrated an original script to Pawan Kalyan and got his nod. The project's announcement was made a few days ago.
Harish Shankar has been waiting to do Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh for Mythri Movie Makers but there seems to be a delay. Surprisingly, the remake has reportedly fallen into the hands of Harish Shankar.
Pawan already remade Pink (Vakeel Saab) and Ayyappanum Koshiyum (Bheemla Nayak). The fans are expecting a straight Telugu film from the actor and because of the same, they are openly tweeting to Pawan, Harish and Mythri Movie Makers not to attempt the remake.
Yesterday, Harish Shankar tweeted that an announcement is going to come out soon regarding his next film with Pawan Kalyan. The director did not give full details but the fans are assuming it to be the remake of Theri.
As of now, neither Harish nor the producers officially announced the project.
