People Media Factory goes big for Prabhas' next three films
People Media Factory is currently producing Prabhas' untitled film with Maruthi, and they will serve as the Telugu producers
HYDERABAD : People Media Factory has acquired the Telugu distribution rights for the film "Adipurush" starring Prabhas for a whopping sum of Rs 185 crore, including GST. Vivek Kuchibotla, co-producer of the production house, confirmed the acquisition and mentioned that the film's strong content prompted them to invest.
Given the film's focus on the story of Lord Rama and its extensive use of computer graphics, Vivek expressed optimism that it would generate at least Rs 100 crore in the Nizam region alone.
To achieve their expected returns, the producers plan to approach the government to request an increase in ticket prices. While the exact number of theaters for the release has not been determined yet, Vivek stated that the film will have a wide-scale release.
"Adipurush" is a cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana, set 7,000 years ago. Prabhas portrays the role of Raghav, Kriti Sanon plays Janaki, and Sunny Singh portrays Lakshman. Directed by Om Raut, the film's pre-release event will occur in Tirupati on June 6.
People Media Factory is currently producing Prabhas' untitled film with Maruthi, and they will serve as the Telugu producers for his upcoming project with Sandeep Reddy Vanga titled "Spirit."
