People would wonder if I was drunk: Sai Dharam Tej

HYDERABAD: Mega hero Sai Dharam Tej is coming back to the silver screen after a long gap with his new film Virupaksha. He had to take a break due to an unfortunate road accident. Sai Tej met with an accident in September 2021 and he had to take rest for more than six months.

He said that he made himself occupied with so many activities while he was at home. Speaking in an interview, Sai Tej said that he used to read books and play with toys during his resting period. Whenever he opened social media, Sai Tej used to come across nasty comments. People used to ask him whether his career is over or has he retired.

The actor also said that he learnt the power of words during this healing period. Even after recovering, Sai Tej couldn't speak properly and he used to stammer. But people around him and his co-actors supported him a lot. They used to ask him to repeat his words whenever they fail to understand. But netizens on social media use to troll him by saying, "Are you drunk?"

Sai Tej said that he didn't focus on these negative comments and carried on with his work. Meanwhile, Virupaksha is gearing up for a worldwide release on April 21.
