Ponniyin Selvan Teaser: A Visual Extravaganza

One of the acclaimed directors of this country, Mani Ratnam is back with his new outing, Ponniyin Selvan. He termed it as his dream project in many of his interviews. Ponniyin Selvan will be released in two parts and the first part will hit the screens on September 30. Meanwhile, the makers have unveiled the teaser today.

Superstar Mahesh Babu released the Telugu version of the teaser. He tweeted, "From one of my favorite directors... #ManiRatnam sir! Thrilled to launch the Telugu teaser of #PonniyinSelvan1. Really looking forward to the film!"

The teaser looks visually aesthetic and beautiful. The grandeur of the sets and the incredible VFX works make Ponniyin Selvan look rich on-screen. Mani Ratnam seems to have succeeded in showcasing the world of Cholas well as the visuals look stunning.

In the teaser, we get a glimpse of the film's lead cast which includes Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Prakash Raj. The cinematography looks amazing and the background score by Academy Award winner AR Rahman is spell-bounding. On the whole, the teaser increased the anticipation around the film. Ponniyin Selvan is being bankrolled jointly by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions.
