Pooja Hegde's exit from Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram

"Guntur Kaaram," directed by Trivikram and starring Mahesh Babu, is being produced by S. Radhakrishna under the banner of Haarika and Hasini Creations. The film had faced production delays, but recently, filming has been progressing at a faster pace. However, no other film has generated as many rumors as "Guntur Karam" recently.

The lead actress, Pooja Hegde, had to step out of the project due to various reasons. Producer Suryadevara Naga Vamshi has addressed these rumors in a recent interview and once again set the record straight.

Naga Vamshi explained, "We initially aimed for an August release for the film 'Guntur Karam,' but later, we rescheduled it to January 12, 2024. We wanted to proceed with the shooting at a relaxed pace. Concurrently, Pooja Hegde had commitments for another Hindi film, and the dates couldn't be adjusted. So, we had to replace her. Some people made a lot of noise about this decision, which I still find unnecessary."

He emphasized that the film has all the necessary elements for a festive season release and features a unique character played by Mahesh Babu.

Initially, Pooja Hegde and Srileela were selected as the female leads for Trivikram's film, but Pooja Hegde opted out, and Meenakshi Chaudhary replaced her.
