Popular movie artist Kaikala Satyanarayana is dead

HYDERABAD: Popular character artiste and former Lok Sabha member Kaikala Satyanarayana breathed his last early Friday morning.

He was 87. He was ailing for some time. He was survived by two sons and two daughters. He entered the filmdom with "Sipaayi kuthuru" in 1959. He was born on July 25, 1935 in Kauthavaram of Gudlavalleru mandal in Krishna district.

Satyanarayana, who donned different roles in Telugu movies, acted in 777 films.

He acted a villain, comedy villain, and character artiste and won laurels for his performance always. He acted in many historic, folklore and mythological movies and impressed the audience. He won many awards to his credit.

He was elected on the Telugu Desam Party ticket to the Lok Sabha from Bandar in 1996.

He was fondly called "Navarasa Natana Saarvabhauma".
