HYDERABAD: Director Prashanth Varma made an impressive debut with Awe and later came up with films like Kalki and Zombie Reddy. But it was his recent film Hanuman which made him a sensation in Tollywood. Hanuman's thumping success made Prashanth one of the most promising talents in the Telugu film industry. At the end of Hanuman, Prashanth reveals about its sequel, Jai Hanuman.

Now, the director has begun the pre-production works of the movie. On the occasion of Sri Ram Lalla's pranprathishtha ceremony in Ayodhya, Prashanth Varma started the pre-production of Jai Hanuman. Sharing the news, he tweeted, "With gratitude for the immense love and support showered upon #HanuMan from audiences across the globe, I stand at the threshold of a new journey by making a promise to myself! #JaiHanuman Pre-Production Begins on the auspicious day of #RamMandirPranPrathistha."
Jai Hanuman is slated for release in 2025. Prashanth Varma said that a prominent star hero will essay Hanuman's role in this movie. On the other side, Teja Sajja will reprise his role as Hanumanthu from the first part.
